Geopolitical developments have led to economic policy uncertainty, while recent research indicates growing fragmentation in trade and financial flows. Against this backdrop, Fritzi Köhler-Geib, member of the executive board of the Deutsche Bundesbank, joins OMFIF to discuss strengthening European resilience by completing the single market and integrating financial markets, as well as highlighting reforms to raise economic growth in Germany.

She also considers the high rate of technological dependencies in Germany and Europe, how these can be managed strategically and reduced over time, and the development and rollout of future technologies such as quantum computing and artificial intelligence.
