Thierno Diallo’s Big Game Can’t Quite Lead Horizon Science Academy over Lancaster

Horizon Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 69-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancaster Golden Gales. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 60-59 loss they experienced in the pair’s previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Thierno Diallo, who went 5-for-9 en route to 11 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Diallo is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he’s grabbed at least two every time he’s taken the court this season. Michael Amusan was another key player, shooting 40% from the field to rack up 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Horizon Science Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Lancaster, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Horizon Science Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-44 victory against Ridgedale on the 27th. As for Lancaster, they have also already played their next matchup, a 64-42 win against Bloom-Carroll on the 30th.
