British Cycling is searching for a new lead for its Olympic performance pathway, as Jon Bartlett prepares to depart the organisation later in the 2026 season.
Bartlett has decided to step down from his role as Performance Pathway Manager after two years with the Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT). Applications for the position of Olympic Performance Pathways Manager are now open, with the successful candidate expected to drive the programme from talent entry point to Olympic podiums.
The role oversees the identification and development of riders while supporting the operational running of the Olympic podium programme.
Great Britain Cycling Team Performance Director, Stephen Park CBE said “Jon has had an impressive impact on our performance pathway during his time with the Great Britain Cycling Team, working closely with coaching staff and our wider support team to build on the programme’s 20-year legacy and set it up for future success.”
Park added “He has led on and championed the focus on vertical alignment across all disciplines from Olympic Development Squad to podium, which has delivered vast improvements in the way our programme functions and collaborates. I am now looking for a passionate, skilled and motivated individual to lead the pathway to LA, Brisbane and beyond.”
Jon Bartlett, Performance Pathway Manager said “I am immensely proud to have represented the Great Britain Cycling Team in my role as Performance Pathway Manager. In the last two years we have made great strides in ensuring the pathway is future proofed for continued success across all disciplines.”
Bartlett continued “It has never been more connected, integrated and aligned, and it’s my belief that with the dedication, application and expertise of the coaches and support staff, it is set up to ensure a continued pipeline of medal competitive riders for LA, Brisbane and beyond.”
