Iran has warned that American military bases in the Middle East could be targeted if the U.S. takes action against Iran’s crackdown on protestors.
The speaker of Iran’s Parliament said on television Sunday that “If the U.S. launches a military attack, both the occupied territory and U.S. military and martitime centers will be our legitimate targets,” according to multiple reports from the region.
President Trump will be briefed on options the U.S. can take in response to the protests in Iran, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing U.S. officials.
