The Australian women’s national under-18 team have lost 1–4 to the Great Britain women’s national under-18 team in their final game of the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament in Katowice, Poland. Forward Annika Schmitz scored Australia’s only goal of the game and was named the hardest worker for the team. The IIHF award for best Australian player of the match was given to defender Jasmine Chen. The result is a decline compared to the team’s last matchup in 2023 where Great Britain won 2–1.

In the other games of the day, China shutout Spain 8–0 and Poland defeated Austria 3–2 in overtime. Australia finishes the tournament in last place and is relegated to Division II Group A for 2026.
