The man was caught “red handed” by the rural police this week.

A spokesman for the force said: “Checks showed he was of interest to the immigration agency therefore he was arrested and taken into custody.

“The fly-tipping offences are also being dealt with.”

Thames Valley police has been asked for details on the offences and the arrested man.

Elsewhere this week, the rural police found three stolen vehicles on false plates and recovered them.

The rural crime team also travelled to Kent to locate a stolen BMW. A male was arrested on suspicion of theft offences.

An Ifor Williams horse trailer with a fake VIN plate has been seized in the Bicester area. The trailer will be examined to ascertain its true identity.

A Timberwolf wood chipper was stop checked and ascertained to have a tampered VIN plate.

A police spokesman said: “Checks identified the machine as stolen therefore it was seized.

“We get a lot of comments about us ‘wasting peoples time’ with our stop checks of plant/machinery.

“Officers on the taskforce are accredited vehicle examiners meaning we can accurately examine a machine quickly.

“If we don’t check these items, we cannot get stolen goods back to their rightful owners.

“Officers have also investigated numerous crime reports and visited victims to provide reassurance and crime prevention advice.”
