Nationwide Uprising- No. 42
Isfahan’s Suburbs Under People’s Control; Quchan Governor’s Office Seized, Repressive Centers in Babol Disarmed
Long lines to identify martyrs in Tehran, Karaj, and Bandar Abbas
On Monday, January 12, 2026, the sixteenth day of the nationwide uprising, despite an undeclared martial law and the deployment of snipers on the rooftops of mosques and schools in downtown Isfahan, suburban areas from Najafabad and Falavarjan to Sepahanshahr and Baharestan remain under the control of the people. Rebellious youths set fire to banks and the sham city council at Simin Intersection and Malekshahr.
As darkness fell on Monday, clashes erupted between rebellious youths and special units in Izeh. In Ahvaz, on Monday evening, similar confrontations were ongoing between rebellious youths and the IRGC’s special units.
On Monday night, extensive clashes took place in the streets of Kermanshah between rebellious youths and IRGC mercenaries. In Mahdasht, hit-and-run battles between the rebellious youths and the IRGC also continued.
On Monday, the extent of the regime’s crimes in the massacre of protesters became increasingly apparent. In Tehran and Karaj, Khamenei’s henchmen have piled the bodies of a large number of martyrs in the courtyards of the forensic medicine facility and have summoned their families for identification. In Bandar Abbas, the regime has moved the bodies of numerous martyrs to a warehouse and imposed a heavily securitized atmosphere in the city.
The scale of the regime’s crimes in Kahrizak is shocking. The henchmen have transported the bodies of martyrs to the morgue in pickup trucks and, by setting up monitors to display images of the bodies, are forcing families to identify their loved ones. The regime is extorting 700 million tomans for the release of each body.
On Sunday evening, January 11, cities across the nation witnessed extensive clashes. In Quchan, rebellious youths seized the governor’s office in a daring attack and set the IRGC headquarters on fire. During this courageous battle, a number of youths were martyred. In Babol, youths attacked police stations 2 and 14 on Salman Farsi Street, which had been firing on demonstrators, and disarmed them. In Ilam, IRGC member Rahimi, who was involved in the killing of many youths, was killed in a clash with youths.
In Tehran, on Sunday night, the areas of Punak, Aryashahr, Haft-howz, and Sadeghieh witnessed heavy hit-and-run battles between youths and the regime’s savage special units. In Mashhad, youths set a Basij base on fire.
