The incentives program for audiovisual works and film productions in Greece is proving particularly successful.
The so-called cash rebate offers a refund of up to 40% of eligible costs for the production of films, TV series, documentaries and digital games. It also offers a 420% return on investment, creating significant added value and thousands of jobs.
The total economic benefit for the Greek economy has already amounted to 928.7 million euros, according to the government, while the country’s tourism promotion has been significant, not to mention the income derived from activities related to films shot in Greece, such as “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3.”
