A Secret Service agent on Vice President JD Vance‘s detail has been put on administrative leave after reportedly sharing “sensitive details” about travel plans and security protocol with an undercover journalist he thought he was on a date with.

In a video clip posted on Jan. 13 by the O’Keefe Media Group — which is led by conservative activist and Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe — a man is seen sitting in a crowded restaurant as an off-screen woman asks him questions.

In the clip of the fake date, the agent explains Secret Service shift schedules and the formations that agents walk in when Vance is out and about. He also hands his “date” his badge, which includes a photo ID, and identifies him as a member of the United States Secret Service and an employee of the Department of Homeland Security.

The O’Keefe video also appears to show cell phone screenshots sent by the agent to the journalist, in which he discusses the VP’s travel plans and shares photos of the presidential convoy, with attached metadata that can be used to pinpoint his exact location.

In the video, the agent also tells the undercover journalist that he voted for Joe Biden and disagrees with the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

“I don’t understand why they’re covering their face… I don’t agree with that at all,” he says of ICE agents, who are frequently seen wearing balaclavas to conceal their identities.

“They’re deploying tactics that shouldn’t be deployed,” he added.

In a statement to PEOPLE, U.S. Secret Service Deputy Director Matthew Quinn said, “The U.S. Secret Service has no tolerance for any behavior that could potentially compromise the safety, privacy or trust of our protectees. This incident is under investigation and the employee involved has been placed on administrative leave with his clearance suspended and access to agency facilities and systems revoked.”

“The U.S. Secret Service has also issued an order for all personnel to retake the agency’s required anti-espionage training in order to ensure employees are aware of the threats posed by individuals aiming to exploit agency employees for information about our protective operations,” Quinn’s statement continued.

Quinn added that the Secret Service “has a 160-year-old tradition of discretion that sets this agency apart, and we have no tolerance for employees who fail to meet this standard.”

“The U.S. Secret Service deeply apologizes to the Vance family for this violation of their trust and privacy. The faith our protectees place in this agency is not something the U.S. Secret Service takes lightly, and we are committed to taking the necessary actions to ensure that a similar breach of standards does not occur again.”
