The accused is Marharyta Feliksauna Paliakova, a native of Uvaravichy village, Buda-Kashaliova district. She worked at the Pskov Regional Universal Library.
In late November 2025, she was included in the Russian list of “extremists and terrorists” by Rosfinmonitoring. Previously, Paliakova repeatedly spoke publicly in defense of Pskov’s historical appearance, criticizing violations of protected zones in the old part of the city.
The investigation claims that the woman repeatedly transferred money to the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK), founded by Alexei Navalny. These donations became the reason for the criminal prosecution.
The trial will begin on January 26 in the Pskov City Court. According to the article she is charged with, Marharyta Paliakova faces three to eight years of imprisonment. However, if she is lucky, the punishment may be limited to a fine.
