FIFA Series forms part of Kenya’s broader preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

Harambee Stars are set for another important international test after Kenya was confirmed as one of the participating nations in the FIFA Series, a global initiative designed to enhance competitive exposure for national teams across different confederations during the FIFA international match windows.

Kenya has been drawn in Group A alongside Estonia, Grenada and hosts Rwanda, with all matches scheduled to take place in Kigali, Rwanda, from March 23 to 31, 2026. The tournament will bring together national teams in a centralized venue, where they will play a series of friendly matches aimed at promoting intercontinental football engagement.

According to a statement by Football Kenya Federation, this format allows national sides from different confederations to compete in a structured and competitive environment while minimizing travel-related fatigue and logistical challenges.

For Harambee Stars, the FIFA Series also comes against the backdrop of their last international assignment, which ended in a difficult 8–0 loss to Senegal , the new African Champions.

Looking ahead, the FIFA Series forms part of Kenya’s broader preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The fixtures will enable the technical team to evaluate player depth, test combinations, integrate new players and strengthen team chemistry in a competitive but developmental setting.
