The School Division was on the leading edge when it founded the Students Training and Refurbishment Program (STAR) at Forest Park High School in 2000. Now this is a Statewide Program known as Virginia STAR. Ashland Elementary School has become the first elementary school to host the program which provides valuable lessons about the machines that students use on a daily basis.
