Fremantle has appointed Lydia Goomansingh as Senior Vice President, Commercial, Global Branded Entertainment, reporting to Roberta Zamboni, Global Head of Branded Content & Sponsorship, with immediate effect.
In this newly created role, Goomansingh will focus on strengthening Fremantle’s global branded entertainment capabilities and scope. Her remit includes scaling commercial opportunities, expanding the international client network with major global brands, agencies and media partners, and building a proactive pipeline across the company’s intellectual property portfolio, spanning unscripted, scripted, digital and social, and experiential formats at an international level.
Goomansingh joins Fremantle from Paramount, where she served as Senior Director of Commercial Content, leading strategic international brand integrations and multi-market campaigns designed to generate revenue across Paramount’s global portfolio of brands and products. Prior to that, she held senior roles at BBC Studios, The Walt Disney Company and Sky.
The appointment forms part of Fremantle’s recently launched New Business area, overseen by Gabriella Carriere, Group Head of Strategy and New Business. The division is focused on unlocking and monetising the company’s intellectual property across multiple revenue streams, including branded entertainment, partnerships, digital, experiential and ancillary businesses, through a cross-company, integrated approach.
