A Royal-Hollywood Movie

According to Heatworld, Markle is insistent on returning to Hollywood and working as an actress again, and she wants her husband to get on board. Following the cancellation of Markle’s lifestyle show With Love, Meghan on Netflix, she is reportedly thinking of ways how to make some money.

A source claimed that Markle came up with the idea of turning their love story into a movie. However, she’s having a hard time convincing Prince Harry that this is what they should be doing right now. Prince Harry couldn’t care less about Hollywood and just wants to focus on his philanthropy.

‘There is so much riding on this movie being a success, Meghan is saying this is make or break time, and she wants all hands on deck. She feels like they’ve finally got a real shot at making a huge hit, and if this movie does as well as people are predicting it could dig them out of their slump,’ the source said.

Mismatched Plans

The source went on to say that Prince Harry’s lack of enthusiasm over the idea of turning their love story into a movie is frustrating Markle. The Duchess of Sussex wants to have multiple income streams to support their family. Prince Harry, on the other hand, doesn’t think that Hollywood is the way to go.

‘She’s sure that if he were to throw himself into the Hollywood game the way she has they’d be way more successful. And it’s true—Harry is bored stiff by Hollywood and the whole industry. He doesn’t want to go begging to a bunch of phonies, he does see that as beneath him,’ the source said.

The insider said that things are not looking good for Markle because she married someone who is stubborn and has a difficult character. The push and pull over the movie idea is causing a dent in Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage.

Netflix Show Cancellation

Meanwhile, Markle is reportedly struggling to think of new project ideas following the cancellation of With Love, Meghan. Reports revealed that Netflix decided not to renew the lifestyle show for a third season due to its low ratings.

According to New Idea, Markle’s show failed to make it to Netflix’s top 1,000 shows in 2025. Instead, it ranked 1,124 with only 2 million views and around 9.7 million viewing hours.

Markle’s Christmas special, With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, did slightly better with 2.4 million views. However, this isn’t enough for Netflix to continue investing in and airing the project.
