Cordia Romania, part of the Futureal Group, has acquired an 8,179 sqm plot of land in the Alba Iulia Square area, close to Bucharest Mall, and has started construction works on its Centropolitan residential project. The land was purchased from Bog’Art Place, and the building permit has already been issued, according to a press release sent to the editorial office.
The Centropolitan project will comprise 274 apartments, ranging from one to five rooms, with sizes between 42 and 156 sqm, as well as 3,345 sqm of integrated commercial spaces. Planned resident amenities include a lounge, gastro bar, Kids Corner, an arcade room for teenagers, a coworking hub, and fitness and yoga areas, the press release shows.
“Centropolitan represents the next stage in our long-term strategy for Romania and continues Cordia’s contribution to balanced urban development,” said Mauricio Mesa Gomez, chairman of the boards of Cordia Romania and Spain.
The project is located close to several key city landmarks, with Bucharest Mall one minute away, Alba Iulia Square three minutes away, and Unirii Square ten minutes away, and benefits from good public transport connections, the company added.
The transaction was brokered by real estate consultancy Crosspoint Real Estate and law firm Stratulat Albulescu, and was completed in September 2025.
Cordia is present in Hungary, Poland, Romania, Spain, and the UK, and has a portfolio of award-winning residential projects, including PARCULUI20 in Bucharest, according to the press release.
