Veronica Fusaro has been chosen to represent Switzerland at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest will take place this year in Austria. Switzerland will compete in the second semi-final on 14th May 2026. If successful, Fusaro will then move on to the Grand Final, which takes place from the Wiener Stadthalle on 16th May 2026.
Born and raised in Thun BE, Fusaro has built a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in the Swiss music scene. Blending pop with elements of soul and rock, her songs combine sharp lyricism with emotional clarity and a groove-driven sound.
An established live performer, Fusaro was named ‘Best Talent’ by Swiss national radio SRF 3 in 2016, marking an early milestone in her career. Since then, she has played over 500 concerts in Switzerland and abroad, appearing on renowned stages and festivals including Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz Festival and Gurtenfestival, and supporting Mark Knopfler at the Amphitheatre of Nîmes. She concluded 2023 with a headline show at Kaufleuten in Zurich.
“I am extremely happy and honoured to represent Switzerland at Eurovision,” says Fusaro. “It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share my music on a beautiful stage like that, with people from all over watching.”
The song that Fusaro will be performing at Eurovision will be announced on 11th March 2026. The visual and artistic direction of her performance is being developed in collaboration with acclaimed creative director Fredrik “Benke” Rydman.
Fusaro released her second album, ‘Looking For Connection’ in October 2025. The record reflects the growing desire for authenticity in a digitally overstimulated world, capturing the tension between distance and closeness through danceable grooves and lyrical honesty. It was the follow-up to her 2023 debut ‘All the Colors of the Sky’.
