TAP Air Portugal will launch two new routes for the summer timetable. One is a new route between Lisbon and Athens, which will begin on 1st of July, with five flights per week.
Flights between the capitals of Portugal and Greece will be operated with Airbus A320neo aircraft during the summer months and Embraer E190 aircraft during the IATA winter months.
From Lisbon international airport, flights will depart at 21h30 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, arriving in Athens at 03h40 the following day. In the opposite direction, departures from Athens are at 04h40 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, arriving in Lisbon at 07h15 (local time).
To Brazil, TAP Air Portugal announces the launch of a new route that will connect between Lisbon and Curitiba, capital of Paraná, Brazil, from July 2, 2026. The airline will operate three weekly flights, further reinforcing its leadership in connections between Europe and Brazil.
The flights will be operated with the A330-200 aircraft with capacity for 269 passengers, through the route Lisbon (LIS) – Curitiba (CWB) – Rio de Janeiro (GIG) – Lisbon (LIS), on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
“TAP’s new route reinforces Paraná’s role on the global stage. This direct connection with Portugal from Lisbon will boost tourism, facilitate the arrival of European visitors, and expand business opportunities with Europe“, says the Governor of the state of Paraná, Ratinho Junior.
With the addition of Curitiba, TAP now flies to 14 cities in Brazil, consolidating its position as the European airline with the largest offer of flights in the country.
Meanwhile, in Porto, TAP Air Portugal will also strengthen its network. From 1 July, new routes to Terceira and Praia (Cape Verde) will come into operation, with three weekly flights, and next winter the Porto–Boston connection will operate all year round. In addition, Porto will have direct flights to Tel Aviv, with four weekly frequencies.
