(Miami, FL) – Vice President JD Vance will spend the day in Naples and Miami Beach today for private events, including a fundraiser at the Naples Yacht Club.
According to Lee County Republican Executive Committee Chairwoman Mercedes Price-Harry. “It’s a pricey event. His team did ask me to assist in finding volunteers for the event, not to go inside the event, but just to assist outside the event, and particularly in regard to transportation.”
Tickets for each event cost at least $100-thousand dollars.
V.P. Vance is the finance chair for the Republican National Committee and is focused on helping the party raise funds ahead of the midterms. This is the first time a sitting vice president has been selected for the role.
Drivers in Miami and Miami Beach should expect road closures starting this afternoon.
Secret Service is warning residents that a “protective operation” will force a hard closure of Venetian Way and West San Marino Drive from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Federal Aviation Administration has also ordered airspace around the Miami and Naples’ airports restricted this afternoon and evening for a VIP escorted by the Secret Service.
Miami’s airspace will be closed between 4 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
