Security camera footage captures the moment a plow crashes into a parked car covered in snow earlier this week.
A contractor will cover the repairs to a car hit by a snowplow in Bedford Park earlier this week, the city says.
Video shared with CTV News Toronto captured the moment a plow clearing Glenforest Road, east of Yonge Street, struck a parked car, pushing it to the side.

The left side of the car suffered extensive damage as a result of the incident.
The rear passenger door’s exterior panel was completely removed, and the left-side windows were shattered with glass pieces and snow was scattered inside the vehicle.

“We’re aware of an incident involving a contractor’s plow and have followed up with the contractor. The contractor will reach out directly to the resident to arrange vehicle repairs,” a spokesperson for the City of Toronto said in a statement on Wednesday.
The city noted that residents whose property was damaged by a contractor’s plow can submit a claim through its website.
“They should also contact their personal insurance provider,” the city added.
A winter storm dumped more than 50 centimetres of snow on Sunday and the city is in the middle of clearing residential streets and sidewalks.

On Wednesday, the city said it was receiving thousands of 311 calls, mostly about snow clearing.
City officials urged residents to move their cars so plows can clear the streets faster.
“Once we start our operation, we need the cars to be moved… so the really important piece is help us, because it saves us from having to do a friendly tow,” City Manager Paul Johnson said.
