Oh Canada, the Queen Creek Olive Mill is back with its special celebration of you.

For the 12th consecutive year, owners Perry and Brenda Rea are marking Canada Week, Jan. 31-Feb. 8 with a celebration that includes special activities and treats reflecting America’s neighbor to the north.

Though the Reas hailed from Detroit – a mere tunnel ride across the nation’s norther border – they have extended family in Canada.

Hence, the Olive Mill at 25062 S. Meridian Road, Queen Creek, again are celebrating Canada with a Canadian Sangria Social on Feb. 7, live music, a Canadian-inspired menu, and more.

Besides family ties, the Olive Mill owners also recognize that many Canadians flock to Arizona to escape their country’s frigid winter temperatures.

So the Reas are releasing a limited-edition maple balsamic vinegar and serving Canadian food and drink specials all week.

From Jan. 31 throigh Feb. 8, food specials will include Canadian BLT, split pea soup, poutine and cheese curds, and a Canadian-inspired pizza as well as Molson beer.

The Canadian Sangria Social, 8 a.m.- 9 p.m., will include flights like Berries & Kisses, blueberry vanilla concoction; Cupid’s Arrow, a strawberry mint flavor; Citrus Herb with lemon, lime, orange and rosemary; and the O Canada, a spiced red delight.

Free admission, no reservations required.
