Russia’s Defense Ministry reports that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 26 Ukrainian drones over multiple regions during overnight attacks.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that during the past night, air defense systems detected and shot down 26 Ukrainian drones attempting to strike targets inside Russia.

According to the ministry, 17 fixed-wing UAVs were destroyed over Bryansk Oblast, seven over Smolensk Oblast, while one kamikaze drone was intercepted over Belgorod Oblast and another over the Crimean Peninsula.

Ukrainian forces are attempting daily attacks on civilian infrastructure across Russian territory. Russian air defense units continue to detect incoming targets and intercept the vast majority of launched drones.

In response to these attacks, the Russian Armed Forces carry out high-precision strikes using missile and drone weapons against Ukrainian military logistics, defense industry facilities, command posts, weapons depots, airfields, troop deployment sites, and locations used by foreign mercenaries.
