Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has moved out of Royal Lodge in Windsor, Buckingham Palace aides have confirmed.
The former prince, who was stripped of his titles by his brother King Charles last year over his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, has moved into Wood Farm Cottage on the Sandringham Estate while his new permanent home, Marsh Farm, is being renovated.
It is understood King Charles was keen for Andrew to move out of Windsor sooner than originally planned following the release of new files from the Epstein investigation, in which Andrew is included in disconcerting emails and photographs.
After last week’s release of 3 million new pages of documents related to Epstein, British prime minister Keir Starmer has urged Andrew to testify before Congress about his ties with the convicted sex offender. Now, the BBC reports that a new victim has come forward with claims that Epstein sent her to the UK for “a sexual encounter” with Mountbatten-Windsor. “We’re talking about at least one woman who was sent by Jeffrey Epstein over to Prince Andrew,” the victim’s lawyer Brad Edwards told the BBC. “She even had, after a night with Prince Andrew, a tour of Buckingham Palace.”
Vanity Fair has reached out to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor for comment.
