In Europe, Marco Rubio plans to discuss with partners the turning point that has come for the world during a visit on the eve of the Munich Security Conference.
He told reporters before departing for Germany, Ukrinform reported.
«I think the turning point has arrived. And I will even refer to the speech or statement I made during the hearings on my appointment as secretary of state. The world is changing very rapidly, right before our eyes. The old world, the world in which I grew up, is gone. We are living in a new era of geopolitics, and this will require all of us to rethink what that means and what our (United States’) role will be.»
– Marco Rubio
«We have had many private conversations on this topic with many of our allies, and we need to keep these discussions going. I hope that at the meetings we will have there on Saturday and in the days following, we will make progress in this direction.»
– Marco Rubio
Europe’s Role in U.S. Foreign Policy
Europe is an extremely important region for the United States, and its history is closely tied to America’s, so the future of both sides must be discussed together.
During his visit to Europe, Rubio planned to visit Germany, Slovakia, and Hungary from February 13 to 16.
«There are signs of criminal offenses as defined by Article 345 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code ‘Threat or violence against a law enforcement officer’ and Article 194 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code ‘Deliberate destruction or damage to property.’ The corresponding notices have been sent to the National Police.»
