AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — Vice President JD Vance will be visiting Michigan on Wednesday, the White House announced Monday evening.

The Republican vice president is expected to deliver remarks at a manufacturing facility in Auburn Hills, officials said.

In response to the news, Michigan Democratic Party Chair Curtis Hertel released the following statement:

JD Vance and Michigan Republicans up and down the ballot have been cheerleading Donald Trump’s disastrous agenda that’s raised prices, gutted health care, destroyed manufacturing jobs, and now plunged us into a reckless foreign war that’s putting American lives at risk. While Vance tries to spin this administration’s failures, Michiganders have been feeling the effects of the Trump-Vance agenda every day when they’re paying more at the grocery store and the gas pump. No amount of lip service from Vance will make up for the fact that Republicans have made life less affordable for working families, and Michiganders will remember their betrayal come November.
