Pert Marten LEHTLAAN and Airi AVAMERI claimed the singles titles at the Estonian National Championships.
This year’s championships highlighted a clear generational shift, with young players making a strong impact while established names continued to deliver at the highest level.
At just 18 years old, LEHTLAAN successfully defended his men’s singles title with an impressive performance. In the final, he defeated his doubles partner Madis MOOS in straight games (4-0). Earlier, LEHTLAAN overcame Maksim VUHKA in the semifinals, while MOOS secured his place in the final with a win over Aleksandr LUŠIN, confirming the strength of Estonia’s emerging generation.
In the women’s singles, AVAMERI once again demonstrated her consistency and experience, capturing her eighth national title. She defeated Reelica HANSON in the final (4-1), having previously overcome Arina LITVINOVA in the semifinals. HANSON reached the final after a tight seven-game victory against Vitalia REINOL.
In doubles events, LEHTLAAN and MOOS combined to win the men’s doubles title, while AVAMERI added another gold medal in women’s doubles alongside Arina LITVINOVA. The mixed doubles title went to Aleksandr SMIRNOV and Kätlin PÕLDVEER.
