BERLIN, CT — The public is invited to join a local advocacy group at a forum this week to increase voter participation and civic engagement in Berlin.

Grassroots Berlin will hold its “Community Power in Action” event on Wednesday, March 25, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Berlin Community Center, 230 Kensington Road.

The event will focus on voter participation trends and the factors that influence civic involvement, organizers said.

The seminar will be led by Dang Do and a research team from Trinity College as part of Hartford’s Voter Captain’s Project, an initiative designed to increase voter participation.

“We want to help people better understand the real power of their vote,” said Cornel Boudria of Grassroots Berlin. “This event is about more than information—it’s about empowering individuals to recognize that their voice matters and that their participation can directly shape the future of their community.”

Organizers said attendees will receive information on participation patterns, opportunities for involvement, and practical steps to engage in civic life.

The event is free and open to the public.
