US Vice President JD Vance may travel to Pakistan for talks aimed at ending the US–Israel war against Iran, according to media reports.

CNN, quoting two senior administration officials, reported that preparations are under way to arrange a meeting in Islamabad this weekend after Pakistan proposed itself as a key mediator.

The report said JD Vance could travel to Pakistan, possibly with other senior officials from the administration of US President Donald Trump.

Earlier, The Financial Times reported that Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir spoke with Trump on Sunday. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also held talks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday regarding possible discussions.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump said Iran was seeking a deal to end nearly four weeks of fighting. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said there had been no direct talks with the United States, though messages had been exchanged through intermediaries.
