Caoimhin Kelleher: It was a quiet night for the Brentford goalkeeper, who could do little about either Czech goal. 6
Jake O’Brien: His long throws caused chaos inside the Czech penalty area, while he was a towering presence at the other end of the pitch. 7
Nathan Collins: Hit the crossbar and won a penalty in an eventful start, while he was spot on with his tackling and the rest of his defensive duty. 7
Dara O’Shea: Laid down an early marker when he won a duel against giant Czech forward Toms Chory, and set up the own goal. 7
Seamus Coleman: Made it to the 95th minute and didn’t disappoint, as he produced yet another authoritative display and was constantly talking to Chiedozie Ogbene ahead of him. 7
Jack Taylor: Put in a solid shift alongside Jayson Molumby. Was booked for stopping a Czech break. Justified his selection ahead of Jason Knight. 6
Jayson Molumby: An outstanding shift by the man chosen to replace Josh Cullen, as he protected the back-four with a no-fuss display. Desperately unlucky to hit the post. 8
Ryan Manning: Produced a fine corner for Ireland’s second goal, but conceded a needless penalty with a rush of blood to the head. Could have done with some variation from the corners. 6
Finn Azaz: Quiet first-half, just like Hungary, and with Ireland on the back-foot he didn’t get many chances to show off his creativity after that. And when he did, the final pass just wasn’t there. 5
Chiedozie Ogbene: Another player lacking game-time, but you wouldn’t know it as he tormented Ladislav Krejci with his direct play down the right. A better final ball and Ireland might have had a third first-half goal. 6
Troy Parrott: Another goal and plenty of hold-up play by the star man. He was unlucky not to get a second shortly before the Czech equaliser, with a header that produced a fine save. 7
