A man in his 20s has died following a road collision involving a truck and a cyclist in Dublin.
The incident occurred at the junction of Middle Abbey Street and O’Connell Street, Dublin 1, shortly before 1pm on Wednesday.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The Luas red line remains out of service through much of Dublin city centre on Wednesday evening.

The crash was described as “serious” and part of one side of O’Connell Street, from Supermac’s down to the quays, was also cordoned off.
Emergency services including gardaí, ambulances and fire engines attended the scene.
The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a postmortem.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene and local traffic diversions are in place.
Road users are asked to take alternative routes as traffic delays are expected in the area.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward, including those with video footage.
Shortly before 5pm, Transport for Ireland confirmed that the stretch of the Luas red line between Smithfield and Connolly/The Point remained out of use “due to a non-Luas related incident in the city centre at O’Connell Street”.
The statement apologised for any inconvenience caused and directed passenger to buses as an alternative.
The red line remains in service between Tallaght/Saggart and Smithfield, 1km west of O’Connell Street.
