Storm Dave is due to hit Northern Ireland, Scotland, north England and north Wales this weekend, bringing gale-force winds and possible travel disruption many across the north.

When does the weather warning apply?
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning across the north from 2pm on Saturday until 3am on Sunday.
The forecast, which applies to Northern Ireland, Scotland, north England and north Wales, warns of “gusts of 50-60mph are expected widely, with 60-70mph gusts possible in exposed locations.”
Forecasters have also warned that there may power cuts in some areas, and there is a chance of “injuries and danger to life” from debris.
Although Scotland is due to experience the worst of the storm, people are being advised to check upcoming conditions ahead of travelling for the Easter weekend.
Closures expected across the region
Across the north, many council facilities are closing for the duration of the warning period, with many Easter events being cancelled across the region.
Councils are advising residents not to visit outdoor facilities, including recycling centres, during the strong winds.
