A woman has been charged over the attempted murder of a 10-year-old girl in Queensland’s southeast.
Police allege a 43-year-old woman had given herself and a 10-year-old girl, who is known to her, poison which caused them both to become sick and vomit on March 12 at Yarrabilba, south of Brisbane.
The pair were transported to Logan Hospital and the girl was discharged the same day.

Child protection detectives commenced Operation Yankee Streethawk to investigate the incident after being informed on March 16.
The woman remained in hospital and was released into police custody on Friday, a statement on Saturday said.
The 43-year-old has been charged with one count of attempted murder (domestic violence offence).
She has been remanded in custody and will face Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 12.
