Stockholm based Alight has agreed to acquire a hybrid solar and battery project in Denmark from GreenGo Energy. The Kalundborg project includes a 79 MW solar park and a co-located 55 MW battery energy storage system. The site spans 90 hectares and is expected to generate around 95 GWh of electricity annually. Land lease agreements have been secured, while zoning and environmental permitting are in progress. Alight and GreenGo Energy will jointly develop the asset until ready-to-build status, targeted for 2028. The project is planned for long-term PPAs with commercial and industrial power buyers. It supports Alight’s goal of reaching at least 5 GW installed capacity by 2030.
