Ontario, N.Y. — The R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant in Wayne County will test its public notification system Tuesday, May 5 starting at 3 p.m.
All 96 sirens will sound within Ginna’s 10-mile radius for three to five minutes. Additional single siren tests may be conducted throughout the day.
The tests are to ensure public safety. No response from the public is needed.
