Just under 500,000 viewers watched on average as Bulgaria qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 last night in Vienna.
An average of 492,900 viewers watched last night on BNT 1 as Bulgaria competed in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time since 2022. The show saw BNT 1 top the audience share in the time slot of the contest with an average audience share of 28.6% for those aged 4 years and old. At its peak, 685,000 viewers watched the contest live from Vienna.
The figures are a considerable increase on the last reported figures for audiences in Bulgaria. In 2021 an average of 162,000 viewers watched as Victoria competed in Semi-Final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

At the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, 17-year-old Kristian Kostov finished in second place in the Grand Final. Bulgaria has qualified for the Grand Final five times out of thirteen attempts at the contest. Bulgaria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2005. The country competed annually from 2005 to 2013, before withdrawing for two years due to financial issues. Since returning to the contest in 2016, Bulgaria qualified for the final in every contest they have competed in up until the 2022 contest.
