FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The Indiana Business Journal held the first of nine ‘Innovate Indiana’ events on Friday.
The event welcomed 300 local leaders to Fort Wayne’s Clyde Theatre.
Governor Mike Braun headlined the event’s speaker list.
Gerry Dick, host of Inside Indiana Business, said the event is a great way to show the governor what is going on in 21Country.
“So many times, communities around the state feel as though everything is tilted toward central Indiana or toward Indianapolis,” Dick said. “This is a chance where Indianapolis, the state, the governor is coming to Fort Wayne, to Northeast Indiana. So a chance to really engage and show off what’s going on.”
The event’s discussion included everything from addressing homelessness to Fort Wayne being the fastest-growing Midwest city.
