Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade will compete for the first time in nearly two years at the 2026 Pan American Championships in Rio de Janeiro from June 17-21.
The Brazilian Gymnastics Federation announced Andrade’s return on Saturday. The six-time Olympic medalist will headline Brazil’s team at the continental championships for the Americas, which are a qualifier for the 2026 World Gymnastics Championships, set for October 17-25 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Andrade last competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she won floor gold, all-around and vault silver, and team bronze. She is now Brazil’s most decorated Olympian of all time in any sport.
After taking 2025 off from competition, the 27-year-old’s return comes at a crucial time for Brazil, which needs to finish in the top five at Pan Ams to qualify a team to Worlds.
Andrade plans to only compete vault at the meet.
