VGT decided to buy 936 Patria armoured vehicles from Finland – Nausėda

Speaking after a meeting of the State Defence Council (VGT), Nausėda said Lithuania plans to buy nearly a third of the vehicles by 2030.

“Under the decision of the State Defence Council, we will acquire 936 Patria armoured vehicles manufactured by a Finnish producer, with 300 units scheduled for delivery by 2030,” the president told reporters.

The VGT is composed of the president, Seimas speaker, prime minister, minister of national defence and the chief of defence.
