A former professional boxer has been refused bail after being charged over a string of alleged Sydney abductions.
Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives charged 26-year-old Humzah Khalid, for his alleged involvement in four kidnappings and an affray between June 2025 and April 2026.
His arrest came after a man alleged he was kidnapped last year, sparking an investigation overseen by the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad, under Strike Force Hazelvale.
The 40-year-old told officers in June 2025 he was travelling with a 30-year-old man to a home in Ryde two days prior when two unknown men approached him, allegedly assaulting and kidnapping him at gun point.
Police were told he was driven to an unknown address where he was assaulted by several unknown men who demanded a ransom.
After some time, the man was returned to his vehicle in Hunters Hill, and informed police of the incident two days later.
Two men had previously been charged as part of the investigation and remain before the courts.
During inquiries, Mr Khalid, previously known by his boxing name The Raging Bull, was identified for his alleged involvement in the kidnapping.

Detectives alleged Mr Khalid was also involved in the conspiracy to kidnap a man at Ryde in August, the kidnapping of a man at Narwee in October, conspiracy to kidnap a man at Condell Park in May 2026 and an affray at Alexandria in September.
About 11:45am on Monday, strike force detectives arrested Mr Khalid at Randwick.
He was charged with 11 offences including two counts of conspiracy to take/detain person with intent to hold to ransom and knowingly direct activities of criminal group.
Mr Khalid appeared in Bail Division Court yesterday, where he was again refused bail to re-appear at a local court on Tuesday.
The charges come two-and-a-half months after he survived a suspected gangland drive-by shooting, which left him in a critical condition with wounds to his leg.
The ABC understands he presented to Auburn Hospital with gunshot wounds shortly after multiple shots were fired into a car at Chester Hill in April.
