Eurowind Energy Romania has obtained the setting-up authorizations from the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) and begins construction work on the Frumusita, Vector, and Pecineaga Nord-Est wind farms. Together, they will add 138 MW of clean energy to the grid and will be equipped with 23 state-of-the-art Vestas turbines.

These projects matter not only for their size, but because they mark a new stage in wind energy development at the national level. About the new Wind Farms

The Frumusita Wind Farm (Frumusita, Galati County) will have an installed capacity of 66 MW, with 11 turbines.

The Vector Wind Farm (Frumusita, Galati County) will have an installed capacity of 24 MW and 4 turbines.

Last but not least, the Pecineaga Nord-East Wind Farm in Pecineaga, Constanta County will have an installed capacity of 48 MW and 8 turbines.

Delivery of the Vestas V162-6.2 MW turbines is scheduled for the second half of 2026, and commissioning of the parks is estimated for 2027. Long-term maintenance will be ensured through a 20-year service contract.

 

Strengthening presence in Romania

Active on the local market since 2011, Eurowind Energy Romania develops and operates renewable energy projects with a dedicated local team. The company’s portfolio includes four operational solar parks – Halchiu, Magurele, Pufesti, and Teius – one wind farm, Pecineaga, and a pipeline of approximately 7.5 GW in various stages of development. The company has 184 MW in operation in Romania, including 60 MW of battery storage in Teius.
