A thug has been jailed after a campaign of abuse against his partner, including dragging her by the neck and throwing a shopping trolley at her.

The 23-year-old would demand money from her, and take it from her purse if she refused.
He demanded she buy him expensive clothes, gifts, food and taxi journeys, to the point where she had to turn to friends and family for money to get by.
He was also violent towards her, pushing her through a wardrobe into a wall on one occasion, and on another, slapping and biting her.
In one incident, he threw a shopping trolley at her, which narrowly missed. As she tried to escape, he grabbed her by the neck, dragging her back into the house, holding her so tightly it caused her to choke.
At times, he would apologise and beg her to stay, and on others, blame her for his behaviour and accuse her of embarrassing him.

When his victim found the courage to call the police after another violent attack, Odushoga discovered she had asked for help and strangled her, repeatedly hitting her head into a metal cabinet and the floor.
He fled the property before officers arrived, but was arrested later that afternoon.
Odushoga, from Hardel Walk, London, was charged with two assaults, intentional strangulation and controlling and coercive behaviour.
He admitted the offences and was jailed for three years at Maidstone Crown Court on August 18.
Investigating officer DS Ellen Compton said: “For months, Odushoga subjected the victim to a relentless pattern of abuse which left her living in fear.
“No one should have to endure the violence, intimidation and control that she experienced.
“The courage she has shown in coming forward and supporting this investigation has helped ensure a dangerous offender has been held accountable and is no longer able to cause her further harm.”
