In the framework of the European Network of Defence-related Regions – ENDR, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space – DG DEFIS, together with ENDR member Säkerhets- och försvarsföretagen (SOFF)/Swedish Security & Defence Industry Association – will host the ENDR conference “European Young Professionals Defence Summit”.
The event will take place in Malmö (Sweden), 27 – 28 October 2026 at BORSHUSET.
The European defence sector is undergoing a period of unprecedented growth, driven by an evolving security environment, increasing investments, technological development, and deeper European cooperation. At the same time, a new generation of professionals is entering the sector and taking on key roles.
The “European Young Professionals Defence Summit” brings together early-career professionals from across Europe to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of European defence. The conference aims to strengthen networks, encourage the exchange of experiences and perspectives, and provide participants with a deeper understanding of the strategic, industrial, and technological developments affecting the sector.
Over two days in Malmö, participants will engage with leading experts and decision-makers through keynote speeches, panel discussions, interactive sessions, and networking activities. Discussions will address Europe’s changing security environment, the defence market and industrial growth, skills development and workforce needs, and the relationship between technology, innovation, and operational effect.
