WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Northcentral Technical College has announced seven new programs, including one focused on Artificial Intelligence and a Fire/Paramedic Apprenticeship program with the City of Wausau.
The school is now offering an AI Developer Associate Degree through the IT program. According to a news release, students will learn how to integrate AI into software systems, communicate technical tradeoffs, and apply governance practices that address privacy, bias, security, and operational risks.
The Firefither/Paramedic Apprenticeship program allows students to train in both a classroom and professional setting alongside the city of Wausau’s first responders. The program integrates firefighter certification training, emergency medical technician education, and advanced paramedic-level coursework, culminating in full paramedic certification.
NTC will also offer four different video production certificates and a wood industry manufacturing and leadership certificate. Applications for the programs are open, with classes beginning this fall.
