SAN ANTONIO – Power outages and storm damage have forced several San Antonio-area businesses to close Saturday.
Friday night’s storms left hundreds of downed trees and power lines across the city, knocking out power for thousands of residents. San Antonio has seen up to 1″-3″ in spots since Friday night, according to the KSAT Weather Authority team.
With power outages that could last several days, here is a list of San Antonio-area businesses that remain closed.
3 cooling locations closed due to power outages
Three city libraries serving as cooling locations are without power and closed to the public, Mayor Gina Ortiz Jones said.
The affected libraries are Bazan, Las Palmas and San Pedro. All other city libraries and park centers will serve as cooling centers and operate during normal hours Saturday and Sunday, Jones said.
Banks
RBFCU
The federal credit union said its Austin Highway (1032 Austin Highway) and Windcrest (7720 Interstate 35 N. Frontage Road) branches will be closed Saturday for the safety of its members and employees.
“Members can continue to access their accounts through Online Banking and the RBFCU Mobile app,” RBFCU said in a Facebook post.

Schools
San Antonio College
The college will be closed Saturday following storm-related power outages.
Attractions
Morgan’s Wonderland
The theme park announced on Instagram that it would be closed Saturday due to Friday night’s storm.
Santikos Galaxy
The movie theater, located at 2938 NE Loop 410, will be closed Saturday as crews work to restore power in the building.
“We will post an update when the theater is ready to re-open,” the post read. “Thank you for your understanding.”
The Witte Museum
The museum will be closed Saturday for minor repairs, according to an Instagram post.
Restaurants
The Cove
The restaurant, located at 606 W. Cypress St. in the Five Points area, will be closed until further notice.
In an Instagram post, The Cove said Friday night’s storms flooded its dining room, damaged fencing and blew away several of its signs.
The Cove will provide updates as soon as they know when the restaurant can safely reopen.
“We’re okay. The building is still standing. The fish has seen some things. 🐟,” the post read. “Thank you for your patience, your support, and for loving this weird little place as much as we do. 💛”
M. K. Davis Restaurant & Bar
The restaurant, located at 1302 N. Flores St. in the Five Points area, will be closed Saturday after losing power in the storms.
Chris Madrids
Chris Madrid’s, located at 1900 Blanco Road, will be closed until power is restored, according to the restaurant. It will provide updates on when it plans to reopen.
Pico de Gallo
Due to Friday night’s storms and power outages, the restaurant will be closed Saturday.
“The safety of our guests and team members is our top priority,” the post stated. “We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.”
Pico de Gallo is located at 111 S. Leona St.
Fat Tummy Empanadas
The restaurant, located at 2922 W. Commerce St., will be closed Saturday.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your understanding and support. ❤️,” a social media post read. “We’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as we’re ready to serve you again!”
Panifico Bake Shop
The shop will remain closed Saturday until further notice, according to an Instagram post.
Panifico Bake Shop is located at 602 NW 24th St.
