NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to visit North Platte Thursday, Oct. 22, for a midterm election rally at the D&N Event Center.

The rally is being hosted by the Trump 47 Committee, with Vance scheduled to appear at 10:30 a.m. Central Time, according to local media reports. Attendees must RSVP to attend the event.

The visit comes less than two weeks before the Nov. 3 general election, as Nebraska voters prepare to decide several competitive statewide and congressional races.

The Nebraska rally follows President Donald Trump’s Oct. 5 visit to Grand Island. The administration and Republican organizations have been holding events in states across the country ahead of the midterm elections.

In Nebraska, Republican U.S. Sen. Pete Ricketts faces independent candidate Dan Osborn in the race for the U.S. Senate. Several congressional and statewide contests are also drawing attention as Election Day approaches.

Early voting is already underway in Nebraska.

Additional information about Thursday’s event, including attendance details and any potential changes to the schedule, may be released ahead of Vance’s visit.
