‘Animal cruelty’ – calves going without food and water on 28-hour sea journeys, High Court told

  1. I am shocked that farm animals were mistreated before being sent to slaughter. No doubt we’ll now hear of ‘a few bad apples’ in the industry…again.

  2. I done this work before, transporting calf’s to France , absolutely depressing and disgraceful work, done 3 runs and quit. Live export should be banned. The 28hr route is probably rosslare to cherbourg, at least when you went across the UK you had the possibility to rest the animals, a lot of drivers don’t bother, wankers.

  3. Transported like Jews were to extermination camps. Give it 50 years, animal agriculture will be renounced and classified as part of our evil history.

“In relation to [animals], all people are Nazis; for the animals, it is an eternal Treblinka [Nazi extermination camp]” – Isaac Bashevis Singer (a Jew who lived through the holocaust.)
