Don’t get hyped by the clickbait. He says the planes will be there in the not too distant future. That’s it. We already knew that. First planes in the next few months. Doesn’t mean they are ready to bomb fascists. Timelines on these kinds of big weapons have actually been quite reliable, with few big surprises. Stop hyping people for nothing. We will cheer when we see them in the air. If that’s soon; all the better. But that’s not what this message says.

Anyone know what is the delay on giving Ukraine F-16s?
I believe it was Milley who said early in 2022 that the coalition needs to ‘move at the speed of war.’ I tend to believe that he and much of NATO/Coaltion leadership have the sense to under promise and over deliver. So when I see headlines about this is coming when, i actually expect the delivery to take place well before the announced ‘when.’
And of course we don’t want to telegraph changes in war footing. So timeframes offered up in the press have to be discounted.
TLDR: This armchair galley cook would not be surprised to hear of F-16s in the air later this year.
