Extreme flooding in tunnel used by Eurostar halts trains

I think a lot of people that are stranded are worried where they’re going to sleep tonight that’s that’s what our the the deal is with us we don’t really care we stay another night in London to put our cuz it’s booked up for the holiday for the New Year we’re

Undecided at the moment um it’s getting more and more expensive uh every minute that passes so we’re trying anything from buses trains other countries and going around a different route so it’s it’s quite frustrating but yeah hopefully we make it to our destination

Video shows water pouring into a tunnel used by Eurostar trains near Ebbsfleet International station in Kent, southern England.

In the video, published by Southeastern railway, the tunnel under the Thames appears to be flooded, disrupting Eurostar services and Southeastern trains that run on the route, the operator said.

Eurostar, which runs services from London to Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, apologised to customers for the impact on their travel plans.

  1. So the tunnel is flooded… So Eurostar quickly hired a fleet of coaches to run passengers to Dover where they could embark on shuttle trains from the vehicle terminal…. Or not, if they did not have anyone bright enough to think of that.

  2. Another example of Britain doing things on the cheap while ceos and shareholders reep the rewards common sense dictates that they would have installed storm drains fir this kind of thing. …. Oh but it was the wrong kind if water what an f ing joke britain is
