More heavy rain expected after Storm Henk

When driving or walking became impossible the residents here had to improvise streets were turned into rivers and front doors were no match for the rising Water belon Road in luthra was submerged when the flooding hit and perhaps no one has felt the impact more than the family living here they own two neighboring

Houses on the street both in a terrible State everything’s ruined really sort to knee height um started coming in quite slowly yesterday we were trying to bucket it down the sink and it just got to a stage we just all moved upstairs when we decided you know we couldn’t

Really save the house yesterday we took all the food we could upstairs we about 10 packs of biscuits and I don’t know see how long that lasts us and to make things even worse they don’t have the correct Insurance my wife s summed it up you know it’s one of those things you

See on the news and you think oh God but yeah you never think it’ll happen to yourself many residents told us how extraordinary this is the people living on this street say they have never seen flooding like this the houses on this side most of them have taken in water

Ruining the downstairs and what’s making things worse they say is cars uh and vans driving through and pushing the water out into the houses but some of those braving the water and angering the locals are trying to help construction workers Rossy cotton and Jack Bailey are not at work today instead they’re using

Their Land Rover to help people get across roads cut off by water it was meant to be going to work but then um that’s been boycotted and obviously without one or two members of the public out um like I say I’m from Baron saw that that flood’s quite regular but I’ve

Never seen L flood like it is other parts of the country have also been hit by severe flooding they’re going under the bridge the stuck the cars about to sink under the bridge but no Good Samaritan will quite measure up to the efforts of one Local Hero in Birmingham

Two a threeyear old and a mom this is the terrifying moment yesterday when a mother and her three-year-old daughter almost drowned in their car clinging onto a bridge Liam Stitch helps to pull them to safety just in time I acted on that and got the baby out as soon as I

Could the car was then moving on every movement that she was making then I I went to my van got a ratchet strap secured the car to the bridge and then in the process of doing that got the woman at the same time but storm heck

Has been deadly a man was killed by a falling tree while driving in gler and many are continuing to discover the damage brought by Winds of 90 mph people are now desperate for the water to subside but after it’s gone the destruction will be laid bare Becky cotol Sky News lra

  1. I feel so sorry for the uk residents i just hope our hopeless government can help them soon as the waters have gone away
Government should not send the money abroad the priority should be its citizens here

  2. The planet needs repairing! The stop oil protesters sitting in roads could be right! Our planet is warming ice cap melt, tree's drink alot water wildfires have causes big issues & logging!! Solutions need to be made!!!

  3. Gully suckers and waterway dredging was cancelled by the tories……as short sighted as ever. In the meantime tory deregulation paved the way for greedy developers to build on flood plains…

  4. I wonder how much money the unelected rishi Sunak will give out in benefits to illegally migrants and how much he’ll support these flooded communities

  5. Insurance. Who. Would. U. Insure against. 8+. Billion human. Mobile. Toulets. ☺️🤫😄😄😄😄. 💀🌎💀. I,m. Dying. What do u. All expect. ? Me. See 😅

  6. the councils and government do not care about the native people or the state of our roads and the environment ,if they did they would not send billions of pounds to bribe corrupt leaders of other countrys but would use this money to keep this country and its people safe .

  7. Heeey…let's buid thousands of houses on a floodplain near rivers…nothing will go wrong….insurance companies will drag their feet as usual and not pay!

  8. They didn’t almost drown. The water level was miles away from the top of the car. Take things calmly. There was help on hand.

  9. This is what happens when people keep putting more concrete everywhere..and building on known flood plains and vales… they are called vales for a reason . The rain has to go somewhere..astroturf lawns add to the problem too..what happened to digging / clearing drainage ditches into fields…instead of putting granite edging on roads that used to never flood… this is happening in Buckinghamshire where I’v been mostly for over 7O years. We never even got flooding when over a meter of snow melted! Now we’ve got the added problem of an unnecessary railway being built too…and areas flooding, as they fill the hills with more concrete.
There has to be more sensible planning for housing somehow.. 🤷‍♀️

  10. Rain in winter NO!!!!!!!Building massive housing estates and new industrial estates and putting all the surface water down the old drains does not help. Councils and highways dept's not clearing blocked street drains does not help. Water courses not being dredged due to European directives does not help. Absolutely fock all to do with global warming in my opinion.

  11. Poor loves own 2 properties opposite as well, I though the price of their properties must have soared as waterside properties are worth more! are they not.

  12. Парень очень большой молодец , Не стал бездействовать, помог женщине и ребёнку)

  13. Geo engineered weather. Climate "experts" would still say there's a drought 😮. God help those who are suffering 🙏

  14. Look on the bright side all untreated sewage will now be heavily diluted & water companies can pump even more and make more profit, Truss failed to get Fracking going so there is really no place in Brexitshitshire for it all to go – patience is a virtue!

  15. Shock horror, we don't dredge the rivers any more and it floods, we sold them all to the Dutch for a quick buck !

  16. Will the Tories blame the flooding on illegal migrants ? After all, the migrants will no doubt now take advantage of the flooding and move around the UK in small boats ?
