Kenya Revenue Authority’s annual revenue collection has recorded steady growth over the past six financial years

This reflects sustained efforts to enhance tax mobilisation.

Revenue rose from Sh1.61 trillion in the 2019/2020 financial year to Sh1.67 trillion in 2020/2021 before crossing the Sh2 trillion mark in 2021/2022, when collections hit Sh2.03 trillion.

The upward trend continued in 2022/2023 with Sh2.17 trillion, followed by Sh2.41 trillion in 2023/2024.

In the 2024/2025 financial year, revenue mobilisation grew by 6.8 per cent to Sh2.57 trillion, underscoring improved compliance and enforcement measures by the tax authority.
