IShowSpeed (via YouTube/IShowSpeed) YouTuber and popular streamer IShowSpeed’s Africa tour has been a personal journey that was a long time in the making. After his joyful adventure in Angola, he was recently in Zimbabwe. However, his latest journey has turned out to be controversial for some viewers due to a specific action of his or lack thereof. Viewers began questioning whether Speed had publicly ignored Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 Lyshanda Moyas during his Zimbabwe stream. The controversial aspect of the stream was a specific moment near the end of Speed’s 5-hour livestream on January 8. Moyas appeared in a club-like setting, seated next to the streamer while wearing a red jersey. The situation lasted only a few minutes, and there was no direct exchange between the two. This led to some fans analyzing what happened and whether Speed or Moyas was to be blamed for neither being aware of each other’s presence.
How a brief club appearance turned into a national talking point
Some users on X felt the situation was mishandled by Moyas’s team rather than the streamer himself. One fan, @freddyMM93, wrote, “Lyshanda our Queen, not everyone knows you. On occasions like these, put on your sash & crown and make it easy for guests to identify you. Speed ‘snubbed’ you cause he saw you in club & perhaps thought you were one of those.”Maximum of the blame seemed to be directed towards Moyas and her team for not making the most out of her prestigious title. Another user, @MichelaWacko, wrote, “Yes, iShowSpeed ignored Lyshanda, Miss Universe Zimbabwe, but honestly she could have handled it better. A third user, @kayzywizzzy, wrote, “She just stood there, what was she expecting? he definitely doesn’t know her.” However, it seems Speed later came to know about the situation. A popular entertainment account on X called @richo claimed that Speed only realized who Moyas was after the stream ended. According to their post, the model also shared on Instagram that she was initially upset that she was ignored, but still appreciated the streamer for showcasing Zimbabwe and enjoying the place. The post included a clip of the moment where Speed went past Moyas, as he did not recognize her, when he visited a go-kart track. The five-hour livestream in Zimbabwe is currently available to watch on his YouTube channel.
